The Role
The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful financial reporting. Reporting to senior management, the Financial Accountant will work closely with site managers to provide strategic financial advice and support the business in achieving its financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements for multiple sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and the month-end closing process for each location.
- Analyze financial performance and highlight areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with site managers to create site-specific financial plans.
- Handle VAT returns, payroll reporting, and other statutory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital across all locations.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making and performance improvements.
- Liaise with external auditors during the year-end audit process and prepare financial reports as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA preferred.
- 3+ years in a multisite environment.
- Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel; ERP systems experience a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
