Position OverviewThe Café/Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Bacchus Marsh Golf Clubhouse’s dining facilities, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while managing staff, resources, and budgets. This role requires strong leadership, operational efficiency, and a customer-centric approach to maintain high service and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations Management: Oversee the smooth and efficient running of the café and restaurant.
Ensure workflows are optimized for peak hours.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor staff, including wait staff, chefs, and baristas.
Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries or complaints.
Create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
Inventory and Stock Control: Monitor and manage inventory to avoid shortages or wastage.
Order supplies and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability.
Prepare financial reports, including revenue analysis and expense management.
Menu Planning: Collaborate with the chef to update menus with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Include diverse options such as vegetarian, gluten-free, and daily specials.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety and workplace health regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of operation.
Marketing and Promotions:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers.Organize promotions and special events to increase foot traffic.
Quality Control: Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and service standards.Performance Monitoring: Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and staff performance.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Equipment and Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role within a café or restaurant environment.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in inventory and stock management systems.
