We are seeking a experienced Senior Solutions Consultant to join our Australian team based in with Sydney NSW or Cremorne VIC. We are looking for someone who can join us full-time as either a contractor or for a fixed term duration of approximately 15 weeks.You will play a critical role in understanding client needs and translating them into clear, actionable business requirements.
This role is responsible for defining business requirement specifications that align with project objectives while supporting the team throughout the delivery process.- Conduct in-depth client research and analysis to assess their current technology stack and capabilities.
- Lead platform-agnostic discovery sessions, recommending logical, business-aligned, and platform-appropriate solutions.
- Define, own, and manage the functional scope of projects, ensuring alignment with client goals.
- Assist clients in roadmap development and backlog grooming, helping to prioritise requirements for successful project execution.
This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of eCommerce and digital solutions, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Business Requirement Analysis & Documentation- Lead discovery workshops to gather business requirements, assess the current state, and define technical requirements.
- Translate between development, creative, and business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and alignment.
- Document requirements using user cases, user stories, wireframes, user flows/diagrams, and functional specifications.
- Develop and present Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), effectively communicating highly technical concepts to internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the full eCommerce product lifecycle, including backend systems such as Order Management Systems (OMS), Product Information Management (PIM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms, including Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, or Magento.
- Proven track record of working in software development environments and experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles.
- Conduct testing and validation of developed solutions to ensure they align with business needs, requirements, and client expectations.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) by promoting innovation, process improvements, and creative problem-solving for client challenges.
- Provide expertise and best-practice recommendations for B2B and B2C eCommerce implementations.
- Coordinate effectively with offshore teams and vendors across different time zones.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and business teams to drive successful project execution.
- Utilize JIRA, Confluence, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and Project to manage and document project workflows efficiently.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in the eCommerce industry.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Strong experience in creating detailed reports and delivering compelling presentations.
- Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, or Magento.
- Ability to provide production work estimates for project scoping and planning.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proven ability to facilitate discovery workshops and guide stakeholders through the requirements process.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Jira, Agile, Scrum).
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles.
- Understanding of web standards, best practices, and emerging digital trends.
- Exposure to software testing processes, including test plan preparation and script execution.
